Core Puzzle Mechanics
In Bolts and Nuts, you click bolts to remove them from a workstation. Each removed bolt must be placed into a free hole on the same board. The goal is to free every panel by taking out the bolts that hold them. Because holes are limited, you cannot simply remove bolts in any order. You must think about which bolt to take next and where to put it, avoiding moves that would cover the last open holes you need later. Panels can shift as bolts come out, changing the layout and adding another layer to each decision.
Progression and Tools
The game includes more than 100 levels, with difficulty rising as you advance. Early stages introduce the basic remove-and-place loop, while later ones combine limited holes, shifting boards, and tighter timing. A countdown timer runs during each level, so you cannot plan indefinitely. Points earned from play unlock tools such as screwdrivers and time freezers. A stopwatch lets you pause the timer when you need a moment to think. You can also watch optional ads to unlock extra bolt holes, which can make a tough layout more manageable.
Who It Suits
Bolts and Nuts is designed for both children and adults. Its simple click controls and clear goal make it easy to start, but the limited-hole rule and timer create genuine logic challenges. The game works for short breaks or longer sessions, and the gradual difficulty curve means new players are not overwhelmed. Customizable bolt appearances add a small personal touch. If you enjoy planning ahead and solving spatial puzzles under mild time pressure, this game offers a steady mental workout without complex controls or story.
