The Ten-Second Decision

Every round of Fast Figures gives you one arithmetic problem: addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. A countdown timer starts at ten seconds the moment the question appears. You choose from a set of multiple-choice answers. A correct pick adds points and moves you to the next question. A wrong answer or a timeout ends the session immediately, and your final score is saved for later comparison.

Adaptive Difficulty Without Levels

The game does not use fixed levels. Instead, difficulty adjusts based on your performance. Early questions tend to use smaller numbers and a single operation. As you answer correctly, later rounds bring larger values or multi-step equations. This curve builds confidence while still testing mental arithmetic. Because the system responds to your accuracy and speed, two players can have different experiences in the same session length.

Minimal Interface, Broad Accessibility

The screen shows the problem in the center with answer buttons below. There are no distracting animations or background clutter. Controls work with both touchscreens and mouse input, so the game runs on smartphones, tablets, and computers. Font sizes and button spacing are designed to accommodate different ages and visual abilities.

Practice in Short Bursts

Regular sessions can improve calculation speed and accuracy. The game encourages mental math strategies like breaking numbers into smaller parts or using known facts to derive answers quickly. Each session is short, so practice fits into brief breaks. Consistent play may lead to noticeable gains in arithmetic fluency and confidence with numbers.
