Core Growth Mechanic
Dotz Grow is built around a single rule: larger dots absorb smaller ones. You start as a small dot on a vibrant playfield and must consume dots smaller than yourself to increase in size. Every dot you eat makes you bigger, but also slower and more visible to larger threats. The tension comes from balancing growth with survival—eating too aggressively can put you in the path of a bigger dot.
Controls and Movement
The game offers two control options. You can tap in the direction you want your dot to move, or hold and drag your dot like a cursor to steer it freely. Both methods are intuitive, and the choice comes down to personal preference. Smaller dots move faster than larger ones, so early on you have a speed advantage that disappears as you grow. That shift changes how you approach the field: quick dodges become harder, and positioning matters more than reflexes alone.
Difficulty and Session Flow
Difficulty scales naturally with your size. As you grow, the playfield becomes more dangerous because larger dots can absorb you, and your own reduced speed makes escape harder. A short session might last a few minutes, while a careful run can stretch longer if you avoid risky areas. The game is free to play in a web browser with no downloads, and it works on computers, tablets, and phones. Colorful visuals keep the atmosphere light, but the challenge comes from timing and path planning.
Approaching Each Run
Successful runs usually start with eating smaller dots to build size quickly, then using that size to control space. Planning a path ahead helps avoid getting trapped between larger dots. Patience matters—rushing into open areas with bigger opponents often ends the run early. Because smaller dots are faster, they can slip through gaps that larger dots cannot, so early growth should be deliberate rather than reckless.
