About this game
Faraday Game Casual Physics Online brings Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction to life. Players move a magnet near a coil to change magnetic flux, generating an electric current that lights a bulb. The game offers two distinct modes: Angular, where you rotate the magnet, and Linear, where you move it vertically. Each mode challenges you to maximize the induced voltage and achieve the brightest light. Created by Prof. Dr. Rafael João Ribeiro, this educational tool turns abstract physics concepts into a hands-on experience. Available in English and Portuguese, it is designed for students, teachers, and anyone curious about how electricity is generated.
To play, first choose your mode: Angular or Linear. In Angular mode, drag or use keys to rotate the magnet around the coil. In Linear mode, move the magnet up and down. As you adjust the magnet's position and speed, watch the magnetic flux change and the induced voltage rise. Your goal is to light the bulb with maximum intensity. The game tracks your voltage and awards medals at 24 V, 60 V, and 110 V. For an extra challenge, try multiple touches or key presses to unlock a hidden hack mode that allows even higher voltages. Experiment with different movements to discover the most efficient way to generate power.
Game features include two interactive modes: Angular and Linear. A medal scoring system rewards progress at three voltage thresholds. A hidden Easter egg hack mode unlocks higher voltages for advanced players. The game tracks your best performance and encourages repeated experimentation. Simple drag or keyboard controls make it accessible on desktop and mobile devices. Language options include English and Portuguese.
This game makes learning physics interactive and intuitive. Instead of memorizing formulas, you see electromagnetic induction in action. It is a safe, educational, and rewarding experience for all ages.
