Matching Bands to Planks

Every level gives you a field of pins and colored bands scattered across it. Your job is to move each band until it rests on a plank that matches its color. Colored markers on certain pins show where each band belongs, so the goal is visible from the start. [IMG_1] The challenge is not spotting the target but working out the sequence of moves that gets every band there.

Moving Bands Step by Step

Bands do not teleport. You typically click a pin near a band to attach one end, then move the other end to the same pin, shifting the band gradually toward its destination. Because each move changes the position of a band, a placement that looks helpful early can block a later one. The controls stay simple and responsive, which keeps attention on planning rather than on fighting the interface.

Locks, Keys, and Growing Difficulty

Some levels include locks that only open once you find the matching keys. These obstacles turn a straightforward color-matching task into a routing problem: you may need to free a key before a band can reach its plank. Difficulty rises as new arrangements introduce more pins, more bands, and tighter paths, so early levels teach the rules while later ones test whether you can think several moves ahead.

Who This Puzzle Suits

The clean, uncluttered design and browser-based play make the game accessible to children and adults alike, with no download or installation. Sessions can be as short as a single level or as long as you like. Players who prefer methodical problem-solving over speed or reflexes will get the most from it, and the lock-and-key mechanic gives the puzzle a strategic edge beyond simple matching.
