Sorting Balls, One Move at a Time

Color Sort Challenge presents a straightforward puzzle: a set of containers holds colored balls in mixed order, and your job is to rearrange them until each container holds only one color. You start with one mixed container and several empty ones. The only legal moves are placing a ball into an empty container or onto a ball of the same color. That single rule shapes every decision, because a careless move can trap a color you needed elsewhere.

How Difficulty Grows

Early levels use few colors and containers, so the solution is easy to see. As you progress, both the number of containers and the number of colors increase. More containers mean more temporary storage, but also more ways to misplace a ball. The game never adds timers or penalties; the pressure comes from the arrangement itself. Each level introduces a different layout, so you cannot rely on memorized sequences.

Controls and Feedback

Interaction is limited to tapping or clicking. Select a ball, then select a destination container. If the move is legal, the ball transfers; if not, nothing happens. There is no dragging, no physics, and no hidden controls. This simplicity keeps the focus on planning. A star rating of up to three stars is awarded based on how few moves you used and how quickly you finished, giving you a reason to replay a level for a better score.

Who It Suits

The game is designed to be family-friendly and is listed as suitable for children ages three and up. It runs in a web browser using HTML5, so it works on most devices without installation. A full-screen mode is available. Because there is no time limit, it works as a low-stress break or a short daily logic exercise. The challenge is real, but the tone stays calm.
